Diane Jordan C.M.T, C.R.T.
Modalities practiced:
Muscular Therapy, Reflexology, Relaxation Massage, Pregnancy Massage, Reiki (Level 2), Deep Tissue Massage, Ear Candling, Spa Treatments
Hynotherapy/Hypnosis
Diane graduated from the Muscular Therapy Institute In Cambridge MA, in 1999. Upon graduation she joined the staff at Natural Body Works. Diane then entered a teacher training program at the Muscular Therapy Institute, beginning as a teacher assistant in Massage Technique and practice Development classes. After a year in teacher training she joined the Practice Development team (at MTI), as a Faculty member, instructing classes in Practice Development and supervising students in the Student Therapy Clinic. Diane enjoyed teaching for two years before deciding to focus totally on her practice at Natural Body Works. "Eventually it became necessary for me to make a choice between instructing at MTI and seeing clients. I loved teaching at MTI helping students learn to communicate and connect with their clients, to research conditions and decide the most effective approach to treatment, to trust their instincts and "Follow their hands", to move from hesitant apprentice to skilled healer. However, I became a therapist to help people in pain find relief, comfort, contentment, peace, hope, and healing - and that is what I really love to do." In 2003 Diane entered the New England Institute of Reflexology and studied the science of Reflexology. One year and one thousand hours of case-study work later Diane became a certified Reflexologist. "I always knew I wanted to study Reflexology. However, I was (and continue to be) amazed at how incredibly effective this work is. Especially when combined with Massage and Reiki. The results are often truly astonishing, even to me.”
Diane usually treats clients with a variety of symptoms and medical conditions. Every treatment is designed for that particular client based on their history of symptoms and what they present with at the time of treatment. In her massage work, she prefers to focus on the true intent of Muscular Therapy - muscle specific massage designed to find and release holding patterns in the body. Adding Reflexology to the treatment prior to the massage portion relaxes the body so completely that deeper massage techniques are "accepted' by the muscles with greater ease. Diane says, "Most of the treatments I give now are a combination of Reflexology, Reiki, and Muscular Therapy. I have begun to utilize Crystals in my treatments as well and I am finding the results to be remarkable. I look forward to each treatment as I know the satisfaction of seeing the client progress to greater comfort and health. This work is very gratifying.”
Elaine Bradley C.M.T., C.Y.I.
Modalities practiced:
Muscular Therapy, Relaxation Massage, Pregnancy Massage, Reiki (Level 2), Spa Treatments, and Beginners’ Yoga Instruction.
Elaine graduated from the Muscular therapy Institute in Cambridge, MA in 1998. This is what she has to say about her work:
"As I do massage, I love being "present” and focusing on my clients needs. Many of my clients have neck and shoulder issues, which is a challenge and exciting for me to address. I work to improve circulation, relieve muscle tension and discomfort while increasing the area to a better range of motion. With this focused work I like to add a full body massage, always including the head, face and scalp. My clients are happy, relaxed, and amazed at how much better they feel! This is when I know I've done my best. I love to incorporate the wonderful healing energy of Reiki with massage. The entire body seems to let go of any resistance the muscles and joints may have been holding onto. This positive flow of energy leaves my clients totally relaxed and feeling a balance through out their whole being.”
"I love to perform the Herbal Mini-facial and Salt Glow with Full Body Massage. These Spa Treatments are my personal favorites as they cleanse the face and body and remove any dead skin cells. This leaves my clients feeling refreshed, relaxed and with skin so soft it lasts for days. This is a wonderful Pamper Package!”
BEGINNER'S YOGA INSTRUCTION
“I see Yoga as a positive addition to life’s journey of improved health. Yoga can be done by everyone, either with a mat on the floor or seated in a chair. Each person listens to their own body, as Yoga is not about competition.”
“Yoga improves breathing by increasing circulation. It enhances flexibility and promotes health in the muscles, joints and glands of the body. Yoga affects an individual as a whole by reducing or eliminating stress. By charging the immune system, Yoga offers balance, bone strength and energy to the body. Yoga affects all body systems – skeletal, muscular, digestive, reproductive, respiratory, circulatory, endocrine, nervous system, etc. The asana promote homeostasis (balance) and fun. With this wonderful new flow of energy from your Yoga, you will feel healthy, strong, balanced and relaxed.”
“Yoga is letting go of negative thoughts, staying in the moment, being gentle with yourself and your limitations and surprising yourself with you accomplishments. You will find that in time, with Yoga, your body can be re-trained to fitness – and you will love the journey!”
Heidi Sanders C.M.T.
Modalities practiced:
Muscular Therapy, Deep Tissue Massage, Relaxation Massage, Sports Massage, Stretching, Spa Treatments
Heidi has been in the health and wellness field since graduating from Keene State College with a Bachelor of Science in Sports Medicine in 1990. After graduation, Heidi worked for nine years in Physical Therapy, helping patients recover from a variety of injuries. Working in Physical Therapy was a springboard for Heidi’s enrollment in the Muscular Therapy Institute, in Cambridge MA where she studied the art and science of Muscular Therapy and graduated in 1999. Heidi designs her treatments according to her client's individual needs. It can vary from addressing a specific injury to purely relaxation -or both! Also because she herself is an avid runner, Heidi loves to work with athletes. She has an innate understanding of the physical and mental commitment an athlete brings to their sport as well as how an injury can affect that athlete both physically and mentally. Most of all she enjoys working with all her clients, helping them achieve and maintain good health and wellbeing.
Heidi's favorite Spa Treatment is the Aromatherapy Steam with Salt Glow or Body Polish & Full Body Massage. She says of this treatment, "I really love this treatment because the Steam completely relaxes the client while the Aromatherapy addressees’ specific needs, such as detoxification. The Salt Glow/Body Polish is a great way to cleanse the body of the toxins that have been released during the Steam process. The Full Body Massage is then always more effective because the body is so totally relaxed and warmed and much of the toxins (such as Lactic Acid) have been released. The muscles and joints can then respond to the massage with complete ease and can be coaxed into a much more supple state than they would otherwise. Plus the softness of the skin from this treatment - wow! This Spa Treatment is really a treat for the skin and a therapy for the body at the same time!"
Barbara Barker C.M.T., I.E.T., Reiki Master
Modalities practiced:
Kriya Massage, Reiki, Integrated Energy Therapy, Stone Massage, Raindrop Technique, Spa Treatments
"I love it when an individual selects me to be part of their healing journey. All bodywork has a profound effect on the client physically, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually. Massage will relieve stress, relax muscles, restore balance, and transform virtually every part of the body. Reiki is a gentle, yet powerful hands on modality in which Universal Energy is brought through the hands of the therapist to the client. Blending Reiki and massage together is especially beneficial to the healing process. Reiki gently relaxes the entire body so that the muscles let go of tension with greater ease. Circulation is improved to all of the organs, assisting in pain reduction and taster healing. Massage speeds recovery of soft tissue as it increases blood flow - bringing nutrients to painful areas. Kriya Massage, with its gentle, circular strokes, applied in a superior direction, stimulates the immune system by helping the body to release excess lymph fluid - a common cause of physical discomfort. I often like to blend in special music, short meditations, and specific scents to assist in the healing process. In addition, I teach my clients simple healing practices that they can incorporate into their daily lives. These may include affirmations, the Healing Touch Technique, Heartlinking, or the use of Essential Oils".
RAINDROP TECHNIQUE
"Raindrop Technique is an unusual and exciting modality. Particular Essential Oils are used on specific points of the spine and feet. This technique works on all levels to release toxins, stimulate the immune system, and bring balance to the mind, body, and emotions. Other modalities are not blended with Raindrop technique as it is complete on its own."
STONE MASSAGE
"Stone Massage is the ultimate gift to oneself! I have personally selected all of the stones that I use from local beaches...a place I have loved all my life. The stones are warmed in water and bring the gentle power of the water with them. The warmth of the stones brings a new level of grounded balance, strength, support, and deep relaxation like no other. I infuse the stones with Reiki energy just prior to each treatment, so they are ready, alive and waiting -just for you!"
Janelle Remlinger C.M.T.
Modalities practiced:
Muscular Therapy, Deep Tissue Massage, Pregnancy Massage, Myofascial Release, Neuromuscular Therapy, Spa Treatments
Janelle is a June 2006 graduate of the Muscular Therapy Institute in Cambridge, MA. As a massage therapist, her goal is "To provide each of my clients with a treatment that addresses and releases any tension or discomfort, be it superficial or deep, which is being held throughout the muscles of the body."
In order for Janelle to reach this goal with each of her clients, her treatments often blend deep Neuromuscular, Myofascial, and Muscular Therapy techniques with lighter Swedish massage techniques. This allows Janelle to release tension in each layer of the muscle and connective tissue worked on, in a subtle, effective, and pain-free manner. You will find that with each treatment you have with Janelle, chronically held tension and pain throughout your body is further diminished. This allows you to achieve an overall increase in your physical, mental, and emotional state of wellbeing.
Janelle's favorite Spa Treatment at Natural Body Works is the Aromatherapy Steam. This is due to the healing properties of the combination of steam and Essential Oils used in this treatment. She finds that a Eucalyptus Steam is particularly effective at relieving her seasonal allergy symptoms and upper respiratory symptoms associated with colds and flu.
MYOFASCIAL RELEASE
Myofascial Release is very effective hands-on technique comprised of sustained pressure being placed into an area of Myofascial restriction and sliding through the tissue until it begins to stretch. Gliding through the restricted tissue in this manner helps to eliminate pain and restore motion that has been lost over time due to injuries, chronic tension, habitually poor postures."
NEUROMUSCULAR MASSAGE
The term “Neuromuscular Massage" also called NMT refers to the style of bodywork that uses constant, focused pressure on a specific area of pain. This pressure applied by the therapist using fingertips, knuckles, elbow, or thumb for up to 30 seconds at a time, until the muscle spasm has been released. This is a very intense technique meant to treat serious pain. Neuromuscular Therapy is very effective at treating pain and stiffness in the low back, and neck, headaches, repetitive motion injuries."

Nancy Thomas CST, RMT
Modalities practiced:
CranioSacral Therapy and SomatoEmotional Release Therapies
“My name is Nancy Thomas. I am so very pleased to be able to expand my practice as I join the team at Natural Body Works and bring my skills in the field of CranioSacral Therapy and healing modalities to the Kingston area.
I have trained extensively in CranioSacral Therapy, Somato Emotional Release Therapy and Healing from the Core with the Upledger Institute. I have also trained with the Reiki Healing Connection, earning a Master of Masters level in Reiki, with the Bach International Education Foundation in the use of Flower Essences, and with Continuum Movement Medicine.
This journey in providing healing began with my first level of Reiki in 2003 and progressed to the more advanced levels of Reiki in 2004, and then to my introduction in the CranioSacral Therapy system. Since that time, I have continued to access more advanced levels of both Reiki and CranioSacral Therapy as I recognized the unique benefits these healing modalities have in the treatment of such a wide array of chronic and acute issues.
I continue to study with the Upledger Institute, as a student and a Teacher Assistant, both of which broaden my skills in this field. Additionally, my teaching extends to Reiki attunements up to Master Level. Helping to create more healers is a very rewarding component of my practice.
My training in Healing from the Core and Continuum Movement Medicine adds yet another dimension to my work in dealing with chronic issues, sports injuries and pain relief. The variety of hand positions and breath sounds and techniques associated with these modalities communicate with the fluid system within the tissues of the body. These approaches are a valuable complement to CranioSacral Therapy and Reiki in the recovery and healing of the nervous system by unlocking and releasing stored trauma on all levels: physical, energetic, emotional, mental and spiritual.
Generally, my treatments are a combination of all the modalities I have studied and I look forward to sharing these gifts with the clientele here at Natural Body Works.”
